Naturally Boulder honors emerging companies in natural/organic industry

Local companies that included a salad dressing maker, organic grocer and cherry juice producer landed some of the top honors at last night’s Naturally Boulder 2012 Autumn Awards and Pitch Slam Party.

The annual event was expected to draw about 350 people and further the Boulder nonprofit’s mission of growing the local natural and organic products industry.

Earlier this week, I spoke with Kerry Gilmartin, the founder of Bamboobies and winner of the 2011 Pitch Slam competition.

That honor, and a $45,000 prize package of business services, this year went to Boulder-based Dressed Up Salad Dressing.

Other awards handed out at the event were:

Company of the Year: Door to Door Organics

Best Young Business: Boulder Soup Works

Focus on the Future Sustainability Award: Teatulia

Local Hero Award: Joan Boykin

Breakthrough Innovation Award (Renamed Lance Gentry Innovation Award): cheribundi

Lifetime Achievement: Paul Repetto
