Should your business take outside private equity investment?

The Boulder Small Business Development Center will host a seminar next week designed to assist local businesses that are weighing whether to take on investment capital.

Tally Costa, an accredited associate of the Institute for Independent Business, will lead the “Is Your Business Ready for Investment Dollars?” seminar from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18 at 2440 Pearl St. in Boulder.

According to the SBDC, Costa is expected to cover topics that include:

  • ¬†What it really means to the business to take outside private equity investment
  • ¬†Legal ramifications
  • Financial ramifications
  • Internal discussion among founders/business owners
  • Where to try to find investors
  • Now you got investment dollars, what is expected of you

The event also will have panel discussions with J.J. Rademaeker, of JJ Sweets; David Dupont, of Team Snap; and Peter Adams, of the Rockies Venture Club.
